The Sewing Machine Accompaniment Bible:

Become the near out of your machine~

from using basic anxiety to mastering specialty feet

by

Wendy Gardiner and Lorna Knight

I am in LOVE with this book and am adding it to my Birthday Listing right now!

(and at only $xv I better get it too ; )

If yous are like me, y'all can never remember the deviation between a eight/60 and a fourteen/90 needle.

(Only as disruptive to me as the blood force per unit area numbers!) Well, this volume has a chart that tells you which size is which, what kind of fabric you should be using information technology with, AND what type of thread to employ with each fabric. And don't even go me started on the presser feet! With a complete run down of 29 different feet (along with extra tips on ways that you lot never thought of using them,) yous'll never be confused over again!

In the back is as well a heir-apparent's guide for picking out a sewing automobile, a quick overview of sergers, and a troubleshooting chart to help you resolve mutual stitch problems. If y'all are new to sewing, or even if you lot just have trouble remembering the ins and outs of the tools you've used dozens of times, this is one reference guide y'all need to check out!

I know I said that I had to take The Sewing Book, but that one is large, a fleck pricey, and has A LOT of data about "how to sew". This is a much more compact guide to the information you unremarkably forget once yous already know how to sew together.
☆☆☆stars – No Question.  I can absolutely run across myself using this to double check my supplies before starting almost every new project. No more than wonky seams or cleaved threads here. Yay!

P.S. I got a few new presser anxiety for Christmas, and am hoping to accept videos upwardly next week well-nigh how to use them. Exist sure to finish dorsum if you are interested. They will be added to my tutorials page under the sewing techniques heading.
